ELOY, ARIZONA. FEBRUARY 19, 2008-When Deep Purple’s song “Smoke on the Water” came on the radio one day, it got the team behind Decades Music Theme Park thinking about pollution and water usage. They knew they couldn’t build a Rock-N-Roll park while ignoring the needs of the planet.
In a preliminary Green Concepts report, the Decades team addresses responsible water usage strategies – for rides, cooling options and for restroom and laundry facilities. The report also details public transportation to the park, green construction, and the use of technology and innovation in the design process.
Efficient use of energy is also a big theme in the report. On-site generation of power as well as renewable energy sources are proposed. Solar energy, biodiesel usage and even light pollution are addressed in the report, as well.
The report is an exhaustive look at the ways Decades can be most environmentally-friendly.
