Decades Music Theme Park "Walking on Sunshine":  Senate Commerce Committe Votes to "Start Me Up"

ELOY, ARIZONA. FEBRUARY 20, 2008-By a 5-to-2 margin, the Arizona State Senate Commerce and Economic Development Committee voted today to recommend Senate Bill 1450. SB1450 would create a “regional attraction district,” facilitating the creation of Decades Music Theme Park in Pinal County.

At the hearing, Decades' Kevin DeMenna told Chairwoman Barbra Leff and the committee members about some musical heavyweights who are now supporters of Decades:

Fender Musical Instrument Corporation has agreed to be a partner in Decades. “Seventy-five percent of the musical acts on the road use Fender equipment – including the world-famous Stratocaster,” DeMenna informed the committee, going on to add that John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and many other Rock-n-Roll greats who play or have played Fender through the years.

Senate Bill 1450 now moves to the Senate floor, where sponsors include Senate President Tim Bee and Senate Majority Leader Thayer Verschoor.

On the House side, Speaker Jim Weiers is a sponsor as is Majority Whip John McComish and Minority Whip Steve Gallardo among many others.

Decades will be a music-themed park with districts that represent each decade of rock music – the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s in its first phase – with interactive thrill rides, live music and other attractions where audience members can step back in time to the sights and sounds of each era.  For more information about DECADES Music Theme Park, contact Rose & Allyn Public Relations.
