Tim Macy is a senior executive with 35-plus years of themed entertainment and major event experience in design, operational development, sponsorship, marketing and facilities management.

Mr. Macy started his career with the Six Flags organization where he held a variety of positions including Corporate Manager and Park Director.  Mr. Macy then worked with Universal Studios managing the $17 million entertainment division until his appointment as Senior Project Director with the Totally Fun Company where he developed new markets for state-of-the-art entertainment products.

In 1995, Mr. Macy joined the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games for the 1996 Summer Olympics where he designed, developed and operated Centennial Olympic Park.  His duties included developing sponsorship partnerships with major or “TOP” sponsors for the games and developing and operating the most successful venue of its kind.

Mr. Macy then reprised his Olympics role with the 2000 Sydney Committee for the Olympic Games.  There he developed the concept for the Homebush Commons section of Sydney Olympic Park, which utilized sponsorship relationships to deliver high quality entertainment for spectators.   He also developed and operated the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre for the games.
Since returning to the USA in early 2001, Mr. Macy has been the President of Woodward/Macy and Associates, an international entertainment, operations planning and marketing consulting firm specializing in development of entertainment facilities.  Among the many services WM&A provides is design leadership, marketing/partnership development and operational programming.  Current clients include Belle Island Village and Wild Adventures, LLC.

From early 2005 until late 2006, Mr. Macy served as the General Manager of Navy Pier, the most popular attraction in the Midwest, serving over 8.5 million guests per year and generating over $140 million in revenues. During his tenure, the Pier experienced the largest monetary surplus in its history while improving overall guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Mr. Macy has expressed a strong interest in joining the DECADES team under Peter Alexander once the district and funding mechanisms for development of the project are in place.
